I believe Chad is incredibly talented and has been the creative force behind all his different shows/projects. When I think about how he had an idea for a live show about Drab's butt scarring I can't but think he is a genius. Despite my love for Chad, I was never able to get into his sports show. It wasn't that I didn't care about sports, but one-man/woman radio just doesn't work. It was weird hearing Chad ask a series of rhetorical questions and basically filibuster for entire breaks between guests.

I was worried that that dynamic would manifest itself on his new show. I am happy to say I was pleasantly surprised to see Chad incorporate Tor into every episode. The show has never really felt like being talked at like the radio did at times, but instead feels like I am listening in on a conversation between friends. That was my favorite aspect of BOAD and Chad's other projects.

This week's of shows really has gone even further to demonstrate that Chad needs someone else on the show with him be it Goat, Tubber, Dick, or Steve. The shows are just better when there are guest hosts. To be honest, this makes me feel a bit uneasy about the future of the show. On some level, I believe Chad realizes he needs someone else to play off of, but I worry he is too proud to do something about it. Tor is a great foil for Chad, but he is basically working for free. I can easily picture a situation where Chad is burning through producers/co-hosts like Adam Corolla used to.

As someone else mentioned in a previous thread, Chad is best when he has someone to reign him in, which just isn't in the cards for this podcast. Still, if Chad's friends continue to want to work for free and put up with his shit, then the show will probably remain good enough to justify the subscription.
