Is there anybody else in this boat?
40M, working for about 20 years. Located in semi-rural Canada.
I grew up working summers on the family farm doing tasks, among others, mowing lawn.
Fast forward 20 years, and I am now, after many different careers changes, (mostly) mowing lawns at an RV Park...
My CP is quite minor, but combined with a self-diagnosed Aspergers, work is a struggle. I can work, but my 2 disabilities limit my advancement potential. I am therefor faced with unfulfilling grunt labour work, for low pay, career stagnation, and career-related depression, and significant mental and physical fatigue.
My impairments are not serious enough to qualify for disability, disability tax credits or seemingly any kind of disability assistance, but serious enough to be considerable hurdles to a happy, productive life. I make ends meet, but only thanks to frugality.
Is there any kind of assistance available for those stuck in the middle?
