DIY Kiln or refurb?
Post Body

I've slowly been getting my workspace organized and want to add in a small wheel and a kiln. The largest piece I imagine (right now at least) that I would do is dinner plate or water pitcher size. I am mechanically inclined, but is it a reasonable venture to either make my own or refurbish an old Kiln?

Also, is it uncouth to use the same kiln for ceramics and metal casting (not at the same time)?
