Slab bottom too thin
Post Body

Hello, beginner here! Just did a 2 months class and I'm starting a solo practice at a locale shared studio, but I'm always alone in my shift. I am doing 'commissions' from friends and family to practice. One is a plant pot for a friend, I've hand built it with slabs and coils but once I got it off the wheel I realized I cut off a bit too much of the bottom, the bottom is pretty wide. There are no holes but I still worry. I had to leave then and once I come back to the studio tomorrow it'll be leather hard. If I do another slab and dry it to leather hard with a hair dryer can I slip and score them together so the bottom will be thicker? I know ideally I should just throw it out and restart it, but I just want to know if I can try at all.

Thank you for any help you can give me!
