Med Cert to wait for Teeth removal?

Getting some surgery to remove 6 teeth (3 being wisdom, 1 being cooked from a horizontal wisdom tooth, and 2 cause I didn't do good oral health). I am booked in for 12th December. What are the chances Centrelink accepts med certs if you've got a specific surgery date? Like would I be wasting the docs time to get one for 3 months to get me to the surgery with 2 weeks recovery time before needing to meet obligations again?
