for a year possibly.. but what happens if he does decline this season. i cant help but feel this is a shortsighted option. that vindal has years in him and we need a solid keeper who can settle the back line for years to come as the defence is settled and unsettled which is is pretty much every season.

also, this means we are all gonna be in goalkeeper anxiety this time next year again. though the benefit of this is it gives us a year to do our proper due diligence on a keeper so we avoid another barkas situation which is why i think we have approached it this way, again. we should have had that approach at the start of this season to replace hart, not a stand in again.
