Hi! I’m a 14 year old cellist and kind of stuck lol. My teacher is letting me go as a student since I’m getting too advanced in treble clef (shes a beginner teacher) and she doesn’t have any pieces I can work on in the meantime to help me improve. I should be getting a new teacher in July since they’re reopening their lessons (they took a break for a few years) but since it’s currently summer, practicing is one of the only things that fills the void of boredom 😅. I played concerto in c minor (Casadesus) in the spring and need advice on what to work on. I really want to learn the Shostakovich cello concerto (eb major) but most of the double stops are too difficult for me and it’s too big of a jump from the last concerto I learned. Any advice on what piece I should play to help me get to that point? Thanks!
