Buying after renting low-end cello
Post Body

So I've been renting a low-end cello from my music teacher over the past year. When I first began lessons, I couldn't really even tell the difference between this cello and her $8k cello. At this point, I am able to tell the difference and am noticing the subtlety in sound even with different bows.

I'm considering now making a purchase toward an intermediate cello. How would you guys go about the upgrade process? I'm in a weird spot because I'm not advanced or even intermediate, but I am advanced enough that I can probably tell the difference between different cellos. Just looking for some sort of "buying strategy"
