Hi everyone!
I've just started teaching myself to play, made the beginner mistake of buying a cheap cello from eBay... and you've guessed it, the instrument sucks. I've replaced a lot of parts and just bought some new hardwood pegs, but my question is how do I apply Peg Paste properly?
It's in a little tub similar to what Rosin seems to come in, it's quite hard and obviously sticky. I've tried rubbing the pegs against it, but this seems to achieve nothing but slightly dusty peg (which is then cleaned when inserted into the peg hole) and a messy t-shirt!
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys! :)
