I've got a grinding noise I can't figure out
Post Body

Last night I drove further than I have in a long time. On the way back me and my boy heard the weirdest sound almost like a hiss..hiss..hiss coming from the front end. After a few miles it subsided but was followed by a grinding noise coming from the driver side front. I checked the tires, rims, axles, looked for leaks...NADA! I checked the engine bay...again nada. The noise only happens when I'm moving. Brakes don't change the noise. It does get louder as I speed up but it's constant and steady, it doesn't get louder BECAUSE I'm speeding up.

I'm still an hour from home and hoping I don't gotta tow it that far. Any help is appreciated...everything visually inspected seems normal I sure hope it's not that transmission
