can u put a gen 5 1993 and later 5sfe power steering pump in a 1990 5sfe engine

cant find a power steering pump for the 1990 5sfe but 1993 and later are available, i was wondering if theyre pretty much the same since theyre the same engine only 3 years apart sub-generation
