I was in a dry patch, that was for sure. My ex and I had split before Christmas and I hadn't been on a real date or...had a gentleman friend since. It was hard being an older woman in Hollywood and looking for a relationship. I wasn't looking for casual sex, but I also didn't need to find a new dad for my kids. I wanted to date and fool around, but in the public eye that was proving hard to pull off.

I'd had to put my relationship woes on hold over the summer though. I'd landed a great role in a movie, but it meant I was going to be on location for two months. I'd done that before - my kids would go to their dad for a bit and go to summer camp for the rest of the time. But it was a lot of time with a small group of people, and all people I worked with.

You'd been my assistant for a few months, and things were going well. I knew you'd be excited to have work paying for what would amount to a Hawaiian vacation after a few hours each day. We'd never done location work together before - I was worried about where things might go.

I'd had a crush on you for a while - you were funny, handsome, young, and good at your job. You knew what I needed before I did, and you always made it happen with a smile. All my friends thought I should just do something about it, whether it was appropriate or not. But I wanted to keep things appropriate. Who knew if that would stick in Hawaii...
