I’m looking for a long term play where my character is sucked in to the tv. Involving him in fictional worlds with fictional characters.

He orders a new universal remote online because he is sick of having a different remote for his speakers and tv. A building frustration since he has been stuck at home so long due to the pandemic. Doing his research he finds something that is top of the line and places an order. A few weeks later a package is received, the remote inside looks nice but isn’t quite what he ordered.

Nevertheless, he sets it up with his equipment and it works nicely. While exploring the functionality of the remote he noticed a button that isn’t labeled. Shrugging, he presses it to see what it does. A dim blue light emits from the remote and it begins to vibrate. Before an opportunity to drop the remote or even be confused, everything goes black.

(We can discuss the details together. Does the channel or show switch at random? Or is there a roommate using the remote and I am left at the mercy of whoever is holding it? Love to hear what your spin on this would be. Please if you decide to reach out come with an idea or just something that might show a little effort.)
