You know those times a celebrity disappears from public eye for a little bit, then comes back seemingly with a whole new outlook they won’t stop talking about? Well, a kinky, dark twist on that is exactly what I am looking to play out today. But before we get into it, as always, housekeeping:

-Only looking to play submissive women, cis or trans

-Long term, with an understanding of real life comes first, heavily preferred.

So with that out of the way, what is the RP actually going to be about specifically? I’m looking to play the role of a celebrity who is indoctrinated into a cult that comes to redefine her life and outlook. There are two main methods to this: gentle coercion, or brainwashing. Both appealing, but different RPs.

Either way, the celebrity is going through some stuff. Having some problems with her life and doesn’t know what to do. Maybe it’s a breakup, maybe she made a tweet that’s caused a lot of backlash and ruined her image, maybe it’s something even more devastating. That’s when the cult comes in. Ideally, I’d love for it to be another celebrity (preferably another woman) who’s part of the group, but she could come to it another way too. Regardless, she starts becoming subsumed by it - and becomes happier for it, with a dark twist.

Now, what is that twist? That’s maybe the biggest variable. I’m going to touch on a few possibilities, but I’m sure there are others.

Supernatural cult: The cult isn’t a new development, instead going back centuries. It’s based around an entity at the center of it all, some kind of otherworldly supernatural being who grants its followers pleasure and happiness in exchange for subservience - and, if you’re interested, maybe requires a sexual offering to maintain favour.

Bimbofication cult: You know how unnerving some of those lifestyle management groups can be? The ones that always seem to have the same cookie cutter sayings, branded products that certainly do nothing, where everyone feels like they have a plastic smile on. Well, this would play into that. Here, those products that definitely do nothing actually work - in a way. They make the user feel happier, while also dumbing them down and reshaping their body into a more exaggerated image of feminine perfection.

Political cult: This could use real world political groups, however for the purposes of this I will be using a fictionalized one. When the celebrity is down on their luck, they’re connected with a new grassroots political party that seems to be really taking off. And with a celebrity groomed into the perfect mouthpiece for whatever politics they believe in, they’d shoot into the stratosphere.

Misogyny/raceplay cult: The central tenet of this kind of cult is that some people are meant to serve others. Maybe it’s a misogyny thing or raceplay thing, but the setup is the same. That the celebrity is part of the group that the cult has deemed meant to serve, and by the time they learn all of this she is willing to believe that they’re right. That she’ll actually be happier this way, becoming a true believer for a cause that would horrify her before.

Sexuality Cult: These are all sex cults, but this cult encourages members to embrace their sexuality in all aspects of their lives. Celebrities getting into OnlyFans, wearing more risque outfits in public, finding joy in showing themselves off.

No matter the kind of cult though, I think you probably have a pretty good sense of the process here. The celebrity is led astray by someone, either groomed or brainwashed, and comes out the other side a new person. There’s a lot of room for flexibility in there, whether you’re playing a singular character or if you want to GM it, etc... But the process will likely remain pretty similar. Like I said, I love long term and would love to really dive into the manipulations of it all, the cult being there for her when it feels like no one else will and how that gives them an opening to exploit her.
