Anyone here using Brita water filter?

Happy new year!
I've always wanted to buy a Brita water filter pitcher because I think it's more cost-effective than buying bottled water or drinking water by the gallon. You can get a Brita at Metro Ayala for around Php1k-1.5k. I've tried it in Manila because my Tito has one in his house and Brita-filtered water there tastes okay. However, my mom thinks it's not enough to filter everything that needs to be filtered.
Are there any Brita users here? Should I go ahead and buy one? Thanks!
