Bass sounds too loud with my CD player while it was fine when I was just streaming from laptop.

Post Body

So I bought an old Kenwood DP750 CD player recently. I’m playing it with my Edifier S880DB bookshelf speakers and Edifier T5 Sub.

Before when I was streaming from Spotify I had the bass on my sub set to around 11/12 O’clock and it was perfect (90% of the time).

However with my new CD player I find the bass to be too loud and there to be an exponential increase in bass when I go from 7-8 O’clock. Also it’s like I have to get up to adjust the bass for every song which I never had to do before.

I’m pretty dumb when it comes to Audio stuff but can anyone shed some light as to why I’m in this predicament.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
