A friend of mine is a bit of a new age pagan. She invited me to her wedding on Halloween. A priest friend of mine recommended that , rather than declining to attend, I wear a saint costume and bear witness to my faith.
So far, I'm thinking either St Patrick (conversion of pagans) or St Nicholas, HERETIC PUNCHER. Any other suggestions?
Also, any good (cheap) sources on getting the costumes? Money's tight already, and I'm trying to pay off a $2300 debt so that I can apply to the conventuals in January.
Edit: Thank you for all the replies. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to people; I've been away at a vocations retreat that occupied me more than expected. I've decided to go with a saint that's not known for the conversion of pagans, out of respect for my friend's beliefs. I've a friend that knows how to sew, so I'll likely ask him for some help.
