If I align myself with God's will as much as I can, will I be happy?

Or will I just live one of those "no, but your life will be more meaningful" lives? I'm sure there will be a deeper sense of meaning and some sense of contentment, but I want worldly joy too, but I'm not sure that even exists. And I know that ultimately what I want, I don't often get. I've become so jaded and fed up with it all. I just feel like I'm going nowhere.
