The problem with our culture is that is has a very DO MORE, DO MORE, DO MORE attitude. There's nothing wrong with doing things. Doing things is great, but without the balance and peace that prayer brings and how it helps you become connected to God and grounded in faith, you you can spend a lot of time on the wrong path.
Pray more, make sure your life is ordered properly, and THEN do more. In my opinion, a life without prayer is a disordered one. Without prayer, my life felt like a chaotic rush to get the next fix (whatever next dopamine hit that would be). The irony is that the more that you chase things, the more you push them away, the more hectic the chase becomes.
Do less, pray more. You may not see an instant, overnight change but good things will naturally start to gravitate to you over time.
