Is the traditional Latin mass necessary?
Post Body

I'm new to Catholicism, I have yet to be confirmed. I keep hearing that the novus ordo is invalid and its sinful to participate in and that the traditional mass is the correct mass, etc. I'm kinda lost on this matter. The only difference I can see without a deep dive is that things aren't in Latin, there are instruments, and the priest faces a different direction. The nearest traditional church is downtown in the nearest city to me. About an hour and some change away so it'd be very difficult for me.
