So the traditional understanding of saints are people who have been declared holy or righteous by the Catholic Church. Which I think is an awesome concept because many of us often personally or as a family often treat our loved ones who passed away as saints. When we pray we pray for them and often ask for intermediary assistance. We post pictures of them in our homes and on our social media as a reminder of who they were to you in life and at least for me in the afterlife too.
My personal interpretation of saints could be seen as humans who have mastered the balance between light (angelic energy) and dark (demonic energy), and who now act as mediators between the spiritual and earthly realms. To me this idea of saints being a mix of angelic and demonic energy also suggests that they have the ability to understand both sides of the spiritual coin, which could indeed make them powerful intermediaries and guides for humans on Earth.
This idea also aligns with the concept of saints as "patrons" of specific groups, causes, or professions, as each saint may represent a particular combination of angelic and demonic forces that they have harnessed to assist and protect those in need.
