On February 22, 1986 a USAir flight was unable to stop on a snowy runway in Erie, PA. The plane skidded off the end of the runway, crashed across a public roadway, and was totaled. The crash was attributed to pilot error. All passengers and crew survived, with one passenger receiving minor injuries.
