Help with House Rules for Blank Chits
Post Body

My mother and I bought Catan a couple months ago and it came with 6 blank chits as replaceable number tiles, which is awesome to include. But, we want to try using them sometimes to change the game up, so I was hoping some of you could let me know what, if any, house rules you all have come up with using the chits.

The rule we just used was you could pay one of each resource, and a Development (putting it on the bottom of the pile), to replace a 2, 3, 11, or 12 with a blank, and the blanks counted as a 7. It was a really interesting game (not counting the fact that 12 rolled 6 times and it surely gave my mother the win lmao), but I’m sure better ideas could be had.

For reference, we play 1v1 with Friendly Robber, is what I think it’s called (can’t block a tile a player is “on” unless they have at 3 VPs); if you don’t block a tile someone is “on”, you get that resource; and win at 15 VPs.
