Hello! I have a cat, and have had this cat for ten years. He gets fed on a schedule, twice a day, and has never had any issues with this. In fact, he usually does not even eat all of the food we give him at night. The issue is that, within the past year, he has started screaming like he is hurt, scratching at my bedroom door, etc. until I come out. When I do come out, he stops and immediately runs to his food bowl while trying to get me to follow him. I usually feed him at 7:40, and he only started doing it at the time at first, but now he's doing it as early as 5. It is impossible to ignore, as I am a light sleeper, and he has had problems in the past that make it so I have to check on him when he seems hurt. Is there anything I can do?
Edit To Add: I do not give him food if he wakes me up. He has a specific room he has to be fed in because he will steal other cats food, so when he wakes me up, he gets put in that room until time to be fed so I can actually sleep.
Automatic feeders won't work as he has to eat only wet food. Dry food makes him throw up.
He also has toys, plenty of toys to play with, but will instead spend hours meowing for me (I know because I tried to ignore it one day when I was already up and he spent two hours with his face under my door, constantly meowing and doing nothing else)
I have done everything I can think of to fix why he would be doing this. He still does it. Please help

This is the way. Get a wheel. Best purchase Iโve ever made. (Litter Robot not far behind)
Save yourself the headache and money. Get the Ziggydoo/Ferris wheel first. Donโt waste your time with the one fast cat or the stuff on Amazon.
