At a loss
Post Body

I'm at a loss and really need to find a solution ASAP.

My male cat is 13 years old and has ALWAYS had an issue with peeing in laundry baskets and on clothes left on the floor. His bladder is fine, his litter box is taken care of regularly, and it has nothing to do with how anything is scented (he pees on clean clothes as well).

My boyfriend and I are moving into a bigger apartment next month to accommodate our baby on the way. Problem is the new apartment has carpet and He's worried about my cat peeing on the carpet. I know my cat doesn't pee on carpet from experience. I've told my bf to just not leave clothes on the floor but that's (somehow) besides the point. So I'm wondering what else I can do??? Is there ANY way to discourage him from peeing on clothes and such??? Any advice is helpful. I've had my cat since the second he was born (I have his mom too) and I can't live without him.

The easiest thing to do would be to have one or even two more litter boxes. I bet that would stop him from using laundry baskets

How many litter boxes do you have? And just the two cats or are there more?
