Adoption and Spay Timing
Post Body

My husband and I are adopting a 1 yr old cat from a friend soon. The cat needs to get spayed and we got an appt for 3 weeks from now. We haven’t gotten her yet but we are wondering how long you think it would take for her to adjust to a new space with new owner before taking her to have a major surgery? My husband is leaving to go out of town for a week tomorrow and he REALLY wants me to wait a week when he’s back for us to pick up the kitty together. But I’m worried that if she’s in our house for only 2 weeks before the surgery then that might be too stressful because of so many changes. What do you all think?
