I have a few questions here for y’all!
Is it reasonable to rename a young cat? 8-9 months old is the guess. It’s also only had a name for about the last 6 weeks or so when the cat was rescued from an abandoned house. She was VERY loving and friendly towards humans when a friend rescued the kitty at that time. Thing is, I hate her current name!!
Also, do you think at her age, we are able to know her true personality? I know their personality can change so much from a kitten into adulthood. We are wanting to have a cat that is confident and adventurous. We plan to harness train the kitty to be okay with riding in bike baskets, going on walks together, going on overnight trips with us in our camper van.
We have a permanent home base now where we will be spending a lot of time but my partner is a travel nurse and we’ve been moving 2 or 3 times a year for the past 5 years or so. Less so now but we’d need the kitty to be okay with changes.
Of course we won’t know for sure until we have the cat but we would love some insight
