Post Body

Tux was fixed about 3 weeks ago. For those of you who did not see my first post, he was a stray, and I wanted to adopt him, but my son freaked and would not let me. He would have been our 7th and that has been an unlucky number for us. My son also has developmental disabilities, so it really mattered that the idea caused him stress. But a neighbor’s cat had recently died and we convinced her to take him.

She actually really wanted him, but is unemployed and did not think she could afford the initial vet costs. So, I sponsored Tux and he got checked for a microchip (none), health check, all shots, got microchiped, neutered, and they decided to take out two of his extra claws (the ones that were short and in the ditch between his “thumb” and regular claws due to medical necessity). It is a match made in heaven.

First picture is him on my patio. He has claimed my yard as his. As it gets colder and farther way from his neuter, he is staying inside more and more. Definitely, stays in at night. The second picture is with one of my cats, Niknik, a flamepoint. I wondered if they were being friendly or if Tux felt territorial. The third picture answered the question, Tux definitely felt territorial and tried to swat at Niknik through the window. I think he was quite perplexed about the window problem.

But before you worry about Niknik, the fourth picture is my goofball’s response. Niknik later tried to headbutt Tux through the window.

Merry Christmas everyone.
