Why does a super friendly cat hate a major cat person?

My grandparents and I are visiting my parents, and they have a very friendly cat. My grandfather is a major cat whisperer, and cats just love him. But for whatever reason, this one cat who loves everyone hisses at him and even attempts to attack him, and we can’t figure out why.
