Here is a WikiHow article on how to give your cat a massage!
The benefits of massaging your cat:
It increases the bond they have with you
It helps them relax after a long day of important zoomies
It can have health benefits such as increased bloodflow and less pain
It gets them used to touching uncomfortable parts of their body (such as paws, belly) in a relaxed manner, and will make nail clippings or vet visits a lot easier.
Your cat just might become even cuddlier than before
Don't massage your cat if:
They have an open wound or infection
They are prone to blood clotting
They are not in the mood and tell you to back off
They have just had a big meal
In short, give your vet a call before you start doing this. But if you do, it can give you so much in return! Don't massage them too deeply either! It's basically pets, but in a circular motion.
I started massaging my cat two weeks ago, and our bond has been stronger than ever. She stopped biting me completely, she comes to cuddle whenever I'm in bed, she purrs her heart out during the massage. All around awesome.
