So the title isn't ENTIRELY accurate because sometimes he will drink from his bowl... But generally only if he's desperate and there isn't any water sitting around elsewhere.
Examples:
- I often leave a glass of water on the coffee table after a workout. He drinks from the glass if there's enough left.
- Sometimes he will lick the tap in the kitchen sink, so I'll run it a little for him.
- My housemate left half a mug of tea on the coffee table. He started drinking the tea (?!?!), so I emptied the mug and filled it with water. He drank from it.
I don't think it's a "I want FRESH water" issue because I empty out his water bowl and refill it a few times a day and... well, he drank hours old cold tea.
It could be that he doesn't like drinking next to where he eats, but I put some fresh water out this morning that he turned his nose up at, so I then filled a mug with water and put that down instead and he happily slurped away.
It's not really something I'm massively concerned about (at least he's drinking I guess..?), but is anyone else's cat a massive weirdo like this?
