Hello all, a week ago I lost my sweet girl Macy pretty unexpectedly. Her and her sister Marisol are from the same litter and have never been apart. Marisol is acting very different (as expected) and I believe she is pretty severely depressed. I've been thinking about adopting a new friend for her. I'm afraid of the way she will react though. She's never been around any other animal than Macy, and they loved each other very much. I also became very depressed (on top of regular depression) following Macy's death. These cats are like my children. That being said, I am terrified to have to do that again. I know I will go through it with Marisol somewhere down the line, and then again if I add another kitty into the mix. This makes me not want to get another cat. Can you see my dilemma? All comments are welcome. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.
