Introducing kittens from 2 litters

Post Body

Hi all,

We have just got 2 new kittens from different litters and are concerned we have introduced them wrong.

We have had one cat for a week she is 11 weeks old unfortunately her sister died the day before we were due to pick them up. So we decided it would help her to buy a second kitten we got her today and she is 8 weeks old.

We started by introducing them by keeping our new kitten in the carrier this seemed to go well so we after about an hour we opened the door to let them get more comfortable, theres been a lot of chasing and fighting with no visible injuries but the older one seems very protective arching her back up and there has been some hissing from both cats and some biting is this a concern? What should we be doing?

Many thanks
