cats won’t eat when I set out their food

Post Body

Basically since I got them (a year ago) i’ve been allowing my cats to eat whenever they want by laying out their food for them and usually by the end of the day it’s all gone.

but for the last couple months i’ve noticed they will barely touch the wet food but eat up all the dry food. They also are addicted to those Temptations kibble treats, any time I open a kitchen cabinet they scream for it lmao

I’ve been trying to get them to eat on a schedule (when I eat breakfast/dinner) but they literally won’t touch the wet food when I set it out and it just ends up drying out/attracting flies if I leave it out. I don’t know how to get them on a schedule if they refuse to touch the food when I serve it. They also BARELY drink any water, they’ve been like this since I got them as babies. The water bowl stays full.

I really need some advice.

I’m gonna make a separate post about how they won’t leave my closet alone (sliding doors) and i’ve tried EVERYTHING to keep them out but they still find a way when i’m at work and basically all of my clothes have puncture marks/pulled threads and it’s driving me insane.
