My senior cat possibly got injured

Hi there so my cat Pandora (17F) has been a trooper through thick and thin and she had a bit of an incident with her claws which she was good at hiding and I took her to the vet yesterday. I had a bit of help getting there there from a family member however they closed the carrier cage on her back leg / foot area and ever since getting home she's been dragging herself and struggling to get up however once she is up she can walk just fine. Her other back leg works perfectly fine but obviously this is still a cause for concern.

Our vet said she has lost two pounds since last year but I did change her diet because she was heavily overweight prior to this. She meows very heavily when I try to pick her up which is abnormal for her.

I'm unsure if this is an injury or if my little girl is experiencing the end of the line. She's still eating still drinking still using the restroom just fine, I don't think she's sick sick maybe diabetic but unfortunately the earliest I can get her into the vet would be Monday.

Do you guys have any advice or input? Is the behavior she is exhibiting the sign of an injury? I'd like to get her x rays and some help ASAP.
