we picked up this stay last night (Friday night) that was dropped off on our yard in the pouring rain in the middle of the night, we brought her in dried her off and got her settled in
its day one now since shes been here, shes looking good, no diseases or wounds. just a light sickness from the rain and some ptsd. we've scheduled an appointment with a veterinarian, we are gonna get her checked the up coming week for her safety
my only concern is; how do you tell a kitten to stop tryna claw your eye out? she doesnt understand English yet, she understands her name, i cant speak cat, our family was never and will not consider any physical "actions". so how exactly do i get her to stop? grab her paws each time she tries and just tell her no? ive done that twice now to no avail
shes also got no tag and cant be over 10 days old, we live on a farm and my grandmother was a nurse that knows how to make the proper feed she needs, using milk from our cows with a mix of warm and cold water which she says they used in the 80's when they had to foster kittens
we know for a fact she was dropped off, no kitten wouldve survived a journey through the raining darkness of the surrounding bush, she was deliberately dropped into our lives, we plan to keep her if her previous owners truly are not returning
