My cat had separation anxiety and I'm almost out of options

Post Body

I adopted my cat from someone I used to work with because they were moving to a place that didn't allow cats. His wife was always home with her(cat) and she was never alone. After a month or two she became clingy and would pee on towels left out or clothes on the floor when I'd leave for work once in awhile. I had to take a trip for a week due to my job and had someone checking on her throughout it and when I came home my bed was covered with pee. After that she started peeing in the hamper and on blankets on the couch. Took her to the vets to check for any illness that might be causing it and everything came back clean. She stopped for a few months until I traveled home for Thanksgiving and now she peeing directly on the couch or a blanket every time I leave for work. The vets gave me anxiety mess for her but it's either only when I leave or everyday. If I do everyday I can't stop giving them to her, which is impossible to do when I leave for work. Is there anything I can do that will help her because at this point I'm out of options and I don't want to get rid of her.
