Cat not eating a lot!

Post Body

My approx 1 year old orange tabby is not eating dry food often. I started out with Purina one indoor cat food and he seemed to like it.

Original food schedule and type of food.

1/4 cup (2x) daily. Once in the morning and once at night. At night putting either a scoop or half a can of wet food on top.

Then switched over to

Purina One tender selects

1/4 (2x) daily and wet food on top only at night.

But now he won't eat as much dry food once I switched to tender selects.

Should I switch to food that is quote bad for cats ( more crude protein and possibly some grain like meow mix?)

Please let me know. Also bought a automatic feeder and started using it today. Help my cat I believe is under weight. He is just barely 8 lb.
