So me and my girlfriend adopted a stray cat that was outside of her work. We don't know how old he is but we assume he is a little over a year old. He was a very sweet cat in the place that we were in originally and we had no problems with him what so ever. Then we moved.
We moved to an apartment on the other side of the city we're living in. Immediately, and I'm talking about 24 hours after we brought him over he started screaming to no end. We took him to the vet fairly soon after where they told us there was nothing wrong with him medically. The screaming continues to this day and we have tried everything to help him. Changed his food, buy him wet food in addition to the dry food he always has access too. Clean water, and we even tried cleaning his litter everyday for a while. Nothing stopped his screaming.
Fast forward to a few days ago when he started screaming a little louder than usual (which is still so loud the neighbors can hear him). This was at like 2 am so me and gf were trying to sleep, and after us not giving him attention he decided to hop up on the bed and pee on me. Not on the bed, but squated over my head and peed. Over the next few days we had to keep him off the bed because anytime he got on it he'd start to squat and pee. Until just about an hour ago where he peed on me again.
I am at a loss for what to do. I have owed 5 cats in my life and I have NEVER had one pee on me. Certainly on the bed, but not on me. We know there is nothing medically wrong with him because of the animal er visit we made, and we've tried everything to try and help him. We are currently strongly considering surrendering him just because we have to shut him in a room with food, water, and litter just so he doesn't piss on us while we're sleeping. I absolutely love the little guy, but both of us are starting to resent him because of this. If anyone has anything that might even be remotely helpful please let us know. Thanks for anything and everything.
