Got new kitten, worried it could have something

Hey, so I recently got a kitten from my friend ( 9 weeks old ) and I am worried constantly it could have something that could infect my other 2 cats. They said their mom is perfectly healthy (4 years) and that the father was some local cat. I have a vet visit for him in 2 weeks, and I'll be keeping them seperate, but do you think I'm being unreasonable? I believe I am but I cannot get myself to stop worrying what if The kitten runs around and is perfectly fine, no signs he's sick at all.
