Cat constantly meows for attention… help!

Post Body

Recently rescued an adorable cat for myself back in December. She’s female, 1.5 years old, already has had 4 kittens, and was in and out of the shelter for 11 months before I adopted her.

At first, she was very shy and hid a lot but after a few weeks, she’s comfy, let’s me play with her and pet. She’s comfortable now to where she sleeps with me at night on my bed. However, after playtime/pet time with her… she walks to another room and starts to meow and caterwaul. Then she comes back into the room I’m in and meows some more. Sometimes, I pet her, she flops to her side and starts purring. When I stop, five minutes, same thing… and she does the cutest thing where she walks into the room I’m in with her little mice toy in mouth and drops it at my feet every time.

I know the best thing to do is ignore it apart from spending quality time with her, but it’s non stop while she’s awake. Presumably, this could be due to the fact she’s never really had a real owner before, but I’d like some advice from other owners. She’s adorable, but also annoying lol.
