If you're holding it when the music stops, unwrap a layer and tell everyone what you found. Did you win? It's pretty well wrapped with lots of layers, they all have different types of wrapping to keep it fair, and there are some small surprises along the way.
My party and by sheer coincidence the music stopped on me. It's pretty unwieldy, but under the first layer the next layer was just newspaper, no sweets :( .
