I'm flying from Luton to mainland Europe at some point soon, and the flight leaves at 8.30am. I only need to get through security since I'm only taking a carry on bag and I'll be checking in online the day before. Would getting there at 7.30am be pushing it, even with that in mind? They always say 2-3 hours beforehand but I always assume that's for people who need to check in luggage and have to queue for that. Any thoughts very welcome.
edit: Thanks for the replies, everyone, they've been very helpful. Definitely going to give it more than the hour I suggested.
I'm flying back into London City for the first time ever, interested to see what it's like there.

Thanks for this. Seem like 1 hour is definitely pushing it. Looks like an early night for me! 😁
