Is it required to text everyday with someone you’re casually seeing?

Hi guys! I’m kinda new with the “casual relationship” scene and I’m curious how do you gauge if it’s going pretty well? I’m not really a big fan of texting someone everyday but I also don’t want to come off na hindi interesado sakanya. We usually just text once or twice a week to just catch-up / plan for the next date, lumabas na kami more than (5) five times na. Is this a good sign? As much as I want to text everyday, I don’t want to come off too strong especially in this stage. Any thoughts or advice coming from experience? How did you guys proceed to the next stage which is exclusivity?
