For further context: I'm a lesbian and not attracted to guys at all. Now here comes "John", a guy at work. We became friends out of common interests (videogames) and after having known him for months, he confessed weeks ago that he has feelings for me and he wanted to "ligaw" me.
I politely told him that I'm not interested in a romantic relationship. I didn't come out at first kase my sexuality is nobody else's business tbh.
He took it nicely then proceeded to tell me 2 days later that he "will wait for me" until I'm ready. Wtf? I never gave him the green light to wait nor did I say that I was interested in him.
So to make it clear, I came out to him and told him that I'm a lesbian so I'm only interested in dating the same sex. John was surprised at first kase I'm femme and di halata na I'm gay.
He said he understood it naman and he no longer bothered me for days.
Then yesterday, nag message cya ulit. As a coworker na ayaw maging rude, I still acknowledge him as a friend so I replied to his messages. He asked how I was outside of work and etc. then suddenly out of nowhere, he asked "Wala na ba talagang chance?" Pertaining to how I might suddenly change my sexuality overnight like some werewolf transformation.
I thought the conversation was friendly pero may hidden agenda din pala, he still wants to pursue me and can't take a hint 🙃
He's a coworker pa naman which makes things awkward and I don't want to be rude. Eg. I can't just ignore him completely since we're working together.
How do y'all deal with persistent men? I'm not into him at all 🤡 why is he playing so hard to get rid of. I just want to be friends.
