For context, since my last romantic relationship in 2020, I met a lot of women for casual sex until early this year. Walang date or anything, hook up agad. I decided to get clean and leave that culture for my own sanity.

Fast forward to yesterday, I met up with a fine lady na naka-match ko sa dating app. Friendly date, kumbaga. We went to a cafe and nagkwentuhan lang for 2 hours or so. I think both of us had a great time with each other naman. For the first time in 3 years, nothing sexual happened. Sobrang sarap sa feeling kasi hindi lang para sa sexual satisfaction kaya ako nakipag-meet up, pero para genuinely makilala siya.

As an individual, I think its a win for me as I recover from hypersexuality. Equally, I hope to get to know her better, kasi who knows where it might lead right?

I guess my main point is, it's never too late to get out of the hook up culture. Matagal siyang proseso at hindi linear. Definitely, meeting someone with genuine intentions beats meeting someone just for sex.
