im the one in our household in charge of making dinner because my parents work full time and my brother doesn't know how to. i dont rlly mind, i like cooking.
i had another post abt how i thought my parents disregarded my requests but they were actually listening the whole time and surprised me with it. i decided to return the favor. my mom made a small comment abt how she wanted sinigang (if u dont know what it is, its tamarind soup with meat and vegetables) the other night while she was eating instant noodles. she came home late and the leftovers were already in the fridge. she was too tired to look at it and didnt want to bother us with it so she just ate instant noodles. i was washing the dishes when i heard her say she wished it was sinigang.
today, i had enough money to buy the ingredients to make it, so i did. the lady at the meat shop even gave me extra meat for free, and i knew my mom would love it. the moment i got home i started cooking it so the meat would be soft and the soup wont be too hot by the time my mom arrives.
mom got home just in time and asked whats for dinner, i said "sinigang. you said you wanted it the other night so i made it" and her face lit up. she looked so excited to eat. im happy that she enjoyed it :)
