What fear of yours did you overcome?
Post Body

I was scared of flying. I mean like my palms would sweat even at the slightest shake of the plane while up in the air. I would close my eyes or try to focus on something else to distract myself. I tried everything to get my mind off of it but nope, didn't work. Still afraid and nervous. Plus no matter how hard I try, I can never fall asleep on a plane. Never!

But 2 days ago, I was flying and the plane hit a bit of turbulence. And cue me taking panicked breaths and sweating my palms off. But then, suddenly, I had an epiphany. "No matter what I do or feel, I cannot control the shaking of the plane. I have no control of the situation I'm in" I thought. And I just let go! It felt as if I was free from a trap. I felt relieved. The rest of the flight was quite shaky at times but I was relaxed and for the first time, I wasn't scared anymore. When the flight landed, I came out a completely changed person. I am proud of myself for overcoming this fear on my own.

What aren't you scared of anymore?
