Hi guys!
Hope everyone is doing well.
My nephews are staying with us for the day since my brother and SIL have some work/errands to attend to. My mom asked me to go to Costco to pickup some stuff and also get food for the kiddos. Now, this is a little embarrassing to say but I was a regular at Costco (I love their fries and chicken tenders!) however I stopped going last year because of the pandemic and also to lose weight.
I placed my order and as soon as I approached the counter to pick up the food, the cashier, who used to serve me a lot, said, “Hey! Nice seeing you again. You look great by the way!” I felt so happy I could feel my smile was all the way up to my ears. I thanked her and I also said how I didn’t think she would remember me or even recognize me with the mask on. She said she has good memory and she remembers my order (I kinda died inside realizing how often I would go there for her to remember lol). Then, she said, “Have a great weekend, beautiful! Good job with your progress.”
Honestly, I don’t know why but her words really made me happy and made my day! This interaction really solidifies the idea of being kind to everyone, even a small gesture like this can bring happiness to anyone. Especially on times like these, I feel like we need to be more kind.
Have you guys had a sweet interaction like this? Let me know! 😄 Have a great weekend!
