This didn't happen today but a couple weeks ago. I was traveling between hospitals for work and stopped at a gas station to get a candy bar, because I was getting kind of hungry but wouldn't have time to get an actual lunch, so I needed something to tide me over. I grabbed a Reese's bar with Reese's pieces in it, thinking it was going to be chocolate covered peanut butter with those pieces in it.
I get in the car and start to eat it while I'm driving, and I get two bites in and realize it tastes funny. Looking at the bar, I realize the bottom layer of the bar is actually caramel! I'm not sure why they put caramel into a Reese's bar, to be completely honest, but it wasn't the worst thing.
Have any of you ever been surprised by a candy bar? What are some of your favorite candy bars and why? Thoughts on caramel and coconut?
